I have heard time and time again the phrase, “You are going to eat those words.” What does that really mean? What we say not only affects others, but also affects us. Words are wonderful when used in a proper way. They can encourage, edify and give confidence to the hearer. A right word spoken at the right time can actually be life changing. The same can be said with an inappropriate or negative word.
We can literally increase our own joy by speaking right words. We can also upset ourselves by talking unnecessarily about our problems or things that have hurt us. I am sure you have had situations like me where something happened to you, and your friends, with all good intentions, continue to ask about it. What that can do then is to keep bringing that emotion to the surface when all you want to do is move on and get over it. (It is important to address these emotions too as trying to suppress them can bring about physical health challenges) That is a part of your life and there is no denying that. However, if you know how to take the emotion out of the ordeal you will have more clarity with that situation and it won’t keep haunting you forever and a day. When we understand the power of words and realise that we can choose what we think and speak, our lives can be transformed. Our words are not forced on us; they formulate in our thoughts and then we speak them. We can learn to choose our thoughts, to resist wrong ones (toxic thoughts) and think only on good, healthy, life-driven ones.
Anyone who wants to be healthy is careful to choose quality food that will provide good nutrition. If we want to be healthy in our body, soul and spirit, we should also choose to take in words and thoughts that build us up and increase our peace and joy. We can rightfully say our words and thoughts are food for our body and soul.
Thoughts are measurable and occupy mental ‘real estate.’ Thoughts are active; they grow and change. Thoughts influence every decision, word, action and physical reaction we make.
The surprising truth is that every single thought, whether positive or negative, goes through the same cycle when it forms. Thoughts are basically electrical impulses, chemicals and neurons. They look like a tree with branches. As the thoughts grow and become permanent, more branches grow and the connections become stronger.
We often get asked on Soul TV if we can see a person getting a better job, or more money. The truth of the matter is, can you see yourself getting into a role with more income? Because if you don't see it for yourself and begin to build on that image and think how wonderful it will feel to be in that space, it makes it difficult for it to come through. The Law of Attraction is quite powerful, however we need to take action. We need to be responsible and look at the patterns we have bedded down. If they are going against the outcome we would like we are pushing against the tide. If you want to make your life better and see more positive outcomes you need to change you. Work through the issues that created the belief that you are not worthy of a better life, whatever that may look like for you. Because when we step up and address the energetic blocks that are stopping our success, life becomes so much more joyful!
